About this policy
This policy explains how MyAct (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage and session storage on myact.co.uk, www.myact.co.uk and app.myact.co.uk. It does not cover the individual websites that artists publish with MyAct on their own subdomains or domains; we do not run Google Analytics on those sites.
MyAct is a trading name of A W Marsden, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way. Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab; local storage and cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google’s sign-in pages may set their own cookies under Google’s control. Our hosting and security providers may also use strictly necessary technical cookies to deliver and protect the site.
Optional analytics (only with your consent)
With your permission we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-SZXK8VYNL9) to understand how visitors use our homepage, sign-up and onboarding pages, so we can improve them. Analytics is off by default: Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set until you click “Accept analytics”.
We only record which of these pages were viewed and whether an artist profile setup was completed. We do not send your name, email address, account ID or the contents of links to Google, and we do not run analytics in artist dashboards, quotes, artist websites or other private areas. Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off.

Changing or withdrawing your consent
Use “Cookie settings” on this page, in our website footer or on the sign-in page at any time. If you choose “Reject optional”, Google Analytics stops and we delete the _ga cookies we can reach. You can also opt out using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data in their settings. Blocking essential storage may stop you signing in. Guidance: ICO — cookies.
Third-party links
Our pages and artist websites may link to other sites (for example social media or music platforms). Those sites have their own cookie policies, which we don’t control.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change, and show the new “last updated” date above. Where a change needs your consent, we will ask again.
